Divine Magic

If you dont believe in magic
I truly pity you
Some are gifted to see it always
But for others it isn’t true

If you ever rise before sunshine
Look for the fire flies
That fly into the bushes
And on a flower die

If you watch the tiny sparrow
Bravely leave her nest
Not knowing if she’ll be back
She faces her daily test

If you ever get out at night
watch the moon lit sky
You might be lucky to see a shooting star
Simply pass us by

If you think of every atom
It’s seen it all before
Life in any and many forms
From the crust to the core

If you’ve ever wondered where from
A mighty big tree grows
You’ll know it slowly climbs out
From a seed smaller than your toe

If you think of where you came from
And why you look like dad
Please note its not just wild chance
That arranged your DNA strand

If you still dont believe in magic
Please close your eyes and think
Of the oldest memory in your head
then you might stare and blink

Inspiration : Conversations with my Angel 🙂

Night to remember

He made me many promises

some he tries to keep

memories of the good old days,

soothe me when I weep.

I promised him a thing in return,

never a drink my throat would burn.

And if must it will only be,

in his presence and from his urn.

A new year ball we attended

Like strangers there we pretended

but when a guy asked for a dance,

“She’s taken” he said, with a stern glance.

I blushed a deep shade of red,

to the dance floor, the way he led.

“me & mine” he often said,

“until I’m buried with the dead”.

We swayed and sang with the crowd

under the stars and the clouds.

Arm in arm, to the beat,

soon we were dead on our feet.

A joyful ride back to the den,

it’s been 3 years since then.

He still looks at me with wonder,

our love has only grown in thunder.

Today as I say goodnight,

all I pray for is his light.

May it shine strong and bright,

chase the demons of my night.

May he shine upon my face,

full of health , joy and grace.

If from him, I must ever part

beyond a day may it not last.
